Welcome back to another episode of Foot Traffic!

Now, as much as Traffic is important to a successful business, making a profit is just as important

Today, I have someone here with me that will help you do just that. I am excited for you to get to hear Mike Michalowicz, the author of Profit First share his top #4 strategies.

In this episode, we are going to be talking about the numbers that actually matter in your business because now is the time to make sure you are on track to Profit First in 2020!

Here are a few highlights you won’t want to miss:

"It all of a sudden clicked for me with money..." at 2:04 Mike explains the "Smaller Plate" method to Stacy and how financial management can be like dieting.  The bigger the 'serving' of money there is the more you are consuming.   Mike talks about how to control the situation and the easy steps you can take.

"Should I pay myself or put the money back in my business..." at 6:31 Mike explains the importance of paying yourself.  When you start allocating money to yourself, the owner, you start to see what is actually available to work with within your business.

"Willpower is like a muscle, it fatigues..." at15:40 Mike and Stacy discuss what your business is telling you when you don't have the money for something you want.   Mike talks about removing temptations in your business so you don't go into debt.

You can find out more about Mike and Profit First at www.mikemotorbike.com.  Click on 'get the tools' to get free chapters of Profit First.   Then head to Amazon or any retailer to purchase the full version and start implementing now!

Email feels like it's slowly dying, however, it isn't dead. 📩 We make sales from our emails every week. I know we want our email list to get bigger and bigger but that actually can be a problem.

Today I talked about why we intentionally keep it small and how that is actually helping our sales.

Now, let's talk about why you need to leverage the power of reviews now before it's too late!

A lot of the big economists are talking about another recession ahead. We don't know when but we know that one is coming. History always repeats itself.

As someone who has owned a small business during the last recession, I will tell you, you have to get scrappy. But the good news is we still have time to help recession-proof our business and one of the ways is maximizing your reviews.

Every business is reviewed somewhere, whether you have Facebook, Yelp, Google, Amazon, iTunes, trust me your business is being reviewed somewhere.

Word of mouth is a lot of times small business owners' #1 source of new customers.

The big question is how we do maximize that?

Getting referrals is getting harder and harder. People are not sharing about your business unless they have a good reason.

Today I'll this Holiday referral bonus that we do. It is perfect for you to announce in December and still get some last-minute holiday sales.

Welcome back to another episode of Foot Traffic!  I am really excited because I'm going to be interviewing somebody today that is a client of The Foot Traffic Formula.   Recently she asked me to show her the 'blueprint.'  She wanted to be told what to do.   And that's super exciting to me because that's exactly how I am.   So I shared with her what the blueprint is and wanted to share that with you as well.  We hold ourselves back and put too much pressure on ourselves and I'm excited to share this with you to help alleviate some of that pressure.

I'm so thrilled to introduce all of you to Aubrey Bursch of Easy School Marketing.  Aubrey recently joined the Powerhouse Mastermind after completing a round of The Foot Traffic Formula.

"We get so caught up in our goals and then we get so upset with ourselves and we don't hit them..." at 4:08 Stacy and Aubrey chat about realistic and doable goals.   They discuss why so many people get caught up in unrealistic numbers and then ultimately get deflated.   Stacy provides insight and tips on how to choose goals that make sense for your business.

"We hang out with like-minded people..." at 19:34 Stacy provides coaching about how to get market research for your business.  Stacy gives examples of how she gets free market research that can lead to huge changes in your business!

"What has been your biggest takeaway or what have you enjoyed most about Foot Traffic Formula..." at 26:15 Stacy asks Aubrey about her feedback in The Foot Traffic Formula program.    Aubrey shares her thoughts and comments about the program and what it has done to help her business grow.

Aubrey is such a rockstar and a go-getter!  If you want to learn more about Aubrey you can connect with her at www.easyschoolmarketing.com, on Instagram @aubrey_bursch and on Facebook @easyschoolmarketing

Welcome back to another episode of Foot Traffic!  Today we are going to be talking about customer retention! Today I am joined by Casey Graham, the CEO of Gravy who is going to share the 4 step system to creating higher-paying and longer staying clients.

We all know the importance of converting leads to sales, but what about once they buy?  How do we keep them?  More specifically, how do we keep them paying the bills they have committed to pay? (Which can be one of the biggest headaches in the small business world).

"The Mad Mom Principle..."  at 7:35 Casey explains the #1 reason people quit courses and programs.   So many customers are oblivious to what you, as a business owner, assume they already know.  As entrepreneurs, we have blinders on to the courses and products we create.  Casey talks about two software programs that will help you gain more insight on this topic.

"The Magic Moment Principle.." at 13:15 Casey discusses the question you need to ask yourself in order to get your customers emotionally invested.  There is a very easy and simple something that you can implement to give your customers a win within the first week.

"The Press Zero Principle..." at 19:10 talks about why human interaction is so important to consumers when they have an issue.  We chat about why this step is so crucial, even if you cannot immediately solve their problem.

"The $0.55 Principle..." at 23:00 Casey explains the importance of taking the time to do non-scalable activities to really love on your clients.

If you want to learn more about Gravy head to gravysolutions.io.  Casey and the team at Gravy are the answer to recurring revenue retention for businesses with subscriptions and memberships.  Let them know you are visiting from the Foot Traffic Podcast!

P.S. If you want to learn how to Drive More Traffic this Holiday Season, get signed up for our next free challenge beginning on December 9th. Click here to register!

During this free event we will cover:

  • Day 1 Training: Snag my December Referral Incentive to Skyrocket Your Sales This Holiday.
  • Day 2 Training: Why you need to leverage the power of reviews now before it's too late (Google, Facebook, iTunes, Amazon, etc. every business should be using at least 1 platform!)

  • Day 4 Training: The live video tweaks we are making heading into 2020 and why you want to follow

Welcome back to another episode of Foot Traffic! If you know me, you know I am a productivity nerd and a systems girl. I'm really excited to be interviewing Tonya Dalton today who is the founder of inkWELLPress Productivity Company and the author of her book, The Joy of Missing Out. Today we're talking about that concept both personally and in our business. When should we say yes and how we often throw things on our calendars that we shouldn't. There are so many things out there and we have to decide when to say yes and when to say no. Let's dive in!

"I believe the book is more than a book. It's the start of a movement..." At minute 2:33, hear what made Tonya write her book, The Joy of Missing Out and how it came to be. Plus, we're talking about how we hide behind the word 'busy'.

"It's really easy for 'yes' to slip out of our mouths.." At 7:18, we dive into a concept I learned from Tonya about the number of Friday's you have left  and how that has changed her and her family. I ask her how she finds balance, what questions to ask and the boundaries we should put in place to assess if it's something we should move froward with.

"We chase this illusion of balance and it truly does not exist..." At minute 18:16, we're talking about putting quantity over quality. Are you doing things with intention? Hear what routines, both personal and business, have been a game changer for Tonya.

"We believe that periods of rest are a reward for great work but it's actually a requirement..." At 28:27, a reminder of why taking time to rest and recharge is so important and why we are worn out and exhausted. Plus, hear what tools Tonya uses to keep all of her systems organized.

If you want to connect more with Tonya you can head to joyofmissingout.com to find more resources and discussion guides. You can also visit her website here to check out her podcast, Productivity Paradox, watch her Tonya TV episodes, blogs and resources to help you feel more productive!

Welcome back to another episode of Foot Traffic! Today I am excited because I have a special guest joining me on the podcast who I actually discovered on Instagram! Now, I would like to introduce you to Ralphie Jacobs. Ralphie lives in Austin, TX with her husband and 4 daughters and as an early childhood education expert she quickly learned that the best way to impact a child’s life for good is to teach parents, which is what led her to found @simplyonpurpose.

Upon discovering her Instagram account, I was immediately intrigued! Intrigued by her mission and teachings of course...but also intrigued by her thriving business. Her live events were selling out in under an hour and she had no website. Not only that, in about 2 years she has grown to a following of over 180k! I can’t wait for you to hear how she has gone back to the basics and used simple techniques and strategies to skyrocket her business.

"I started teaching on Instagram stories and giving content..." At minute 2:47, hear how Ralphie started, her story and how Simply On Purpose came to be. Did she know this was going to turn into a business or did she think it would stay a passion?

"One of the big struggles for me is to remind myself that I'm in charge..." At 10:00, hear the moment Ralphie thought this could really be something and realized it was no longer a hobby. Ralphie gives us insight into how many events she is doing and what her model looks like for setting up her events.

"People just want to be a part of something that's good..." At minute 16:45, hear one of the greatest pieces of advice she has received. I ask Ralphie if her buyers and people that attend her events are asking for her to create more products...do they want more?

"They'll love you for it if you're generous..." At 22:11, Ralphie shares what her business strengths are that have been a key factor in her success. I ask her what her work schedule looks like and how far out she plans her events. PLUS, hear the on things that I've learned from Ralphie that I apply to my own family.

If you are looking to connect more with Ralphie, you can find her on Instagram @simplyonpurpose!

Welcome back to another episode of Foot Traffic! Today I'm interviewing Adrienne Dorison, the co-founder of Run Like Clockwork. I read this book and knew immediately I had to chat with Adrienne! We're talking about how well your business can run without you. Adrienne is going to walk us through some steps that can prepare us for things that pop up unexpectedly so we know our business will run without us, no matter what. Let's build a real business with a solid foundation and set up systems to be ultra efficient!

"The #1 thing that's going to come up is resistance to letting things go ..." At minute 2:15, Adrienne fills us in on her background and everything you need to know about her. She shares the biggest problems she sees when a small business owner comes to her. Hear if this clockwork strategy will actually work for everyone.

"Growing a team means a bigger headache..." At 9:20, I hear a lot of people struggle with seeing having a big team means a big headache. If this is something you are thinking, you need to hear this! Plus, are people coming to Adrienne as anti-team? Hear her insight into what people think about teams and what their approach at Run Like Clockwork is. Plus, we're talking more about teams and decision making.

"You're mix should look very different than the company's..." At minute 17:20, in the book, there are four 'D's'. Doing, deciding, delegating and designing. We're diving into the last two, delegating and designing, and Adrienne tells us her suggestions for what percent we should be striving for with each of these in our business.

"We want to design something that isn't dependent on either of us..." At 23:18, we're talking about what happens when someone steps out of the business for a long time and what could possibly happen if you are the main person bringing in the revenue. Adrienne shares a story and a scenario from the book that could happen to anyone, at any time.

"It's about the role not the individual..." At minute 28:38, Adrienne goes deeper about the idea of QBR (Queen Bee Rule) from the book. Hear why if certain roles are not getting served other positions will not survive.

If you want to connect more with Adrienne, head over to www.runlikeclockwork.com where you can buy the book, get free resources, learn more about team and their programming and check out the podcast! @runlikeclockwork.com book, free resources, team and programming podcast

Welcome back to another episode of Foot Traffic! Sometimes we have to do things we don’t enjoy now, to get to the benefit (or where we want to go) later. We live in a world of instant gratification. If it doesn’t bring immediate satisfaction or results, we don’t want to do it. For someone like me who is a doer, this is extremely hard, however, I am now reaping the rewards! And in the long run, I am moving my business forward faster and more efficiently.

"Don't you do things everyday that you don't really want to do so your business can thrive?..." At minute 0:40, I'm reflecting on what worked and what didn't work for our latest launch of the Foot Traffic Formula. Hear how every idea I come up with I think is the most amazing but why that's not always a good thing and how advice from a coach mentor or someone on your team is necessary plus the proper timing.

"Not trying to sell but really trying to understand..." At 5:19, I'm sharing my second tip which is listening to our customers. This can be SO powerful to build those connections, showing that you care and you're here to help. Not only that, but making sure we invest time to the right customer.

"You have to start moving forward, taking action..." At minute 9:42, let's talk about indecisiveness and what to do when our customers can't decide if your product or program is what they need. Plus, why we need to stop playing the victim role and understand that we will get burned during entrepreneurship but that doesn't mean to stop taking action or risks.

"It's not going to happen if you're not willing to make those sacrifices..." At minute 15:14, we're talking about taking consistent action and holding ourselves accountable. What is it that's holding you back from being the business owner you were meant to be?

Did you miss this round of the Foot Traffic Formula! Don't worry...another round is coming soon! Head to www.foottrafficformula.com and get on the wait list to make sure you get in early, receive extra coaching AND special bonuses.
