So many small business owners believe that in order to have a lifestyle of freedom, you must have a digital-based business. Well, as you have seen in my story alone, that is a total lie! I get to have the life I have always dreamed of, and you can too. I have my good friend Amber McCue joining me on the podcast today to prove it!

Amber is the founder and owner of several small businesses, one of which is nearing seven figures this year! Not only that, she just recently moved to Ethiopia with her family and is truly embracing the freedom lifestyle!

"I always wanted to do something on my own..." At minute 0:40, Amber is taking us on her entrepreneurial journey, how she got started, what that looked like for her and where she is today. Plus, hear how Amber chose her ONE thing.

"I didn't want to create another job, I wanted to have freedom" At 8:00, we're talking about how you can be multi-passionate and have visions but to make sure systems are in place so you have the freedom to step away when you need to. How did her recent move impact her business.

"You know where you are and you know where you're going..." At minute 17:16, we're diving in to surrendering to the process in order for amazing, unexpected things to happen and how to move past situations that didn't go as we planned. how does she give herself grace if we never reach a goal we had set.

"I am a recovering always workaholic!..." At 29:20, hear what Amber's life and business look like now after taking a huge risk moving and the big switch with making time-zones work.

This episode is tackling one of the hottest parenting topics, SCREEN TIME! Not only that, this specific conversation is geared for any working mom striving to handle screen time better with their kids. I'm excited to bring you my friend Andrea Davis, from Better Screen Time, where she and her husband teach positive strategies to help your family know when and how to make that transition without letting screen time take center stage.

"You want to serve the world and serve people..." At minute 1:35, Andrea tells us about her background and what her business journey has looked like.

"I have watched this evolution of the technology change..." At 8:12, I'm picking Andrea's brain about ideas of what our kids can be doing while we are working and how to keep them occupied without feeling guilty or disappointed with ourselves while trying to get work done. Plus, what kind of media we should be allowing our kids to watch.

"I realized that was a boundary I needed to set..." At minute 17:05, Andrea is sharing what she found while doing research and finding tips for the kids. Hear her recommendation for how much time she allows her kids to be watching screens and how we can judge what our kids need.

"Always invest in their relationship on a daily basis..." At 25:30, Andrea shares some ideas and tips that our kids can do independently. Plus a few ways we can prepare activities ahead of time, what Andrea does with her family and so many screen-free ideas we can implement!

I don't know why it is, but there seems to be so much shame and guilt around asking for help. I hear women say... "I should know better" or "I don't know why I can't just figure this out on my own." But today I'm here to tell you the truth - it is ok to not know every answer!

If you want to go from a 6-figure to a 7-figure business, what should you do? Find a coach who has a thriving 7-figure business!  It totally wouldn't make sense for you to assume you know how to create a 7-figure business when you've have never had it before. So please let this relieve you of any guilt or embarrassment you may have had around asking for help! It is what we are supposed to do! Plus, I'm sharing how I had to dial 911 recently to ask for help (you seriously won't believe what happened!)

"All of a sudden there is this screeching noise coming out of her bedroom..." At minute 0:40, I'm sharing a personal story, that also relates to business, with you that you may have seen on my Instagram stories recently.

"I took advice from a 3 year old..." At 5:18, I'm sharing a few problems that you might have in your business now or have done in the past. Plus, we're talking about how often we take advice from people who aren't ahead of us or even in the entrepreneurial world when we shouldn't.

"We feel like we should know better, we feel like we should be able to do better..." At minute 8:46, I'm telling you the reason I thought of this podcast and how we can feel guilty about getting help in our business and even our personal lives.

"How are you doing this all?..." At 15:32, I'm sharing my message with you on why we should be getting help in the areas where we need it and why I need you to know it's not always as easy as I make it look!

If you are looking to work with me in any capacity I have a few options for you! Check out the upcoming Purposeful Positioning Workshop, stacytuschl.com/workshop at the end of July or I have strategy days available to work with you one on one here in Milwaukee. Head over to stacytuschl.com on the Work With Me page for all the details and I hope to see you there!

Today I am excited to introduce you to my friend Brandon Lucero! Brandon is the founder of Sold With Video, and not only that, he is the creator of all of our amazing videos we put out on social media lately! I know so many of you have complimented our YouTube channel and IGTV videos, and today you actually get to meet the brains behind it all and hear the inside scoop. Brandon and I are going to discuss why video is extremely important in your marketing strategy and what types of businesses can and should be using it.

"It really kind of forced me to look for other ways to make money..." At minute 1:29, hear Brandon's backstory of how he got started and how he became the video guy he is now. Brandon shares the conversations he had with James Wedmore, his struggles with pricing and how he got past that.

"At the end of the day we do video, but what we really do is messaging ..." At 9:58, we're talking about how important it is to have a mentor or peer to help guide you. Plus, even with struggle after struggle Brandon didn't give up but hear how he uses his journey to recognize his strengths. He also tells us what makes his methodology different from other businesses.

"I'm not a big believer in letting your audience dictate the content you should do..." At minute 18:44, we're busting an objection! How can you create 9 months of content ahead of time?Wouldn't it be outdated? Brandon talks about the biggest mistakes that make him cringe while watching videos.

"Connection is one of the biggest things we need to incorporate into content" At 24:27, Brandon is giving examples of thought reversal for video. Brandon shares tips on what to do if you don't want to be the face of the business but you still want to use video and how to incorporate more of your team.

On today's episode, I'm going to dive into the 6 common mistakes you may be making or may have made in the past that have held you back from becoming an industry leader.

"I realized people really needed to hear this..." At minute 0:40, we're diving in to what it means to be an industry leader. I'm sharing why it's not uncommon for an entrepreneur to be multi-passionate and good at several things...that's mistake #1. Plus, I'm sharing the kind of person that is really difficult to work with as a coach.

"They let external obstacles get in the way..." At 9:02, I'm talking about mistake #2: the obstacles we turn into excuses. Hear mistake #3 of how we tend to focus on what we don't want rather than what we DO want.

"You can build a framework that is unique to the way to the way you do something..." At minute 14:08, I'm sharing mistake #4: nothing proprietary about what you do and any body can copy you leaving you to constantly innovate. Plus, mistake #5: they don't have or know their company values.

"Our #1 job as a business owner is to be the visionary..." At 22:28, is that last mistake. They don't consistently make space for innovation. I'm giving you a few steps to make an action plan.

If you are ready to be your industry leader I want you to join us at my Purposeful Positioning Workshop happening July 30-31! We have a max of only 20 people and I hope you are one of them. It's going to be 2 days, 9-5, where we will be getting stuff done!
