Welcome back to episode #207! I can't believe I am saying this, but we are right around the corner from spring break and just a hop, skip and a jump away from SUMMER break! Whoa, where did the time go? There is another change that comes along with spring and summer break besides the brighter skies and warmer temperature, and that is YOUR SCHEDULE!

If we want to have a successful break, we need to be clear about setting the intention of what exactly we want it to look like ahead of time! Which is exactly what I am going to help you do today by sharing 3 simple steps to get you through this process.

"I realized it really came down to 3 simple steps..." At minute 2:46, the first thing we need to do is create a plan so let’s discuss what YOU actually want for this break. I'm sharing what I decided to do during my girls spring break and how things lined up! Plus I'm talking a little bit about summer, work schedules and family trips.

"Squeeze in that work time so you don't have to feel guilty when the kids are home..." At 12:58, I'm talking about what it means to be intentional. If you know you need time off to recharge - follow through with it and take time off. I'm sharing a few of the things I like to do to recharge and relax and how to take a working break with a few screen & tablet free ideas to keep the kids busy!

"It is usually not in execution, but it is in the preparation..." At minute 23:22, I'm explaining why the preparation for anything is SO important including a break and setting up systems to make sure you don't have to completely shut down your business.

"The type of break you take is really important to the health of your business and your family..." At 32:28 I'm doing a quick recap of the 3 steps.

P.S. we have one of our most popular programs coming back...The Profit Mastermind! If you know you don’t have systems in place to truly take breaks and your business really can’t run without you, I highly suggest you think about joining our 4th round of The Profit Mastermind. This is going to be a small class of only 25 ladies building systems in their business without leaving money on the table or worse, reimbursing people. They can take a vacation and check out, they can work part time in summer without earning apart time income. If you want to be added to the waitlist to find out when these spots will be released go to, www.bit.ly/profitmastermindwaitlist for more info!

Welcome back to episode #306! Do you ever feel hesitant to go for the sale? I'm talking, your voice starts shaking, hands start sweating...I get it! Sales has never been "my thing," but it is not only necessary for a business to survive, it is necessary to impact others. Thanks to the help of my good friend Colin Boyd, I think I have finally been able to grasp the concept that others are depending on me to sell to them! We are always on "stage" if you think about it! Whether it be a Facebook live, a local networking event or just chatting with someone you just met in a grocery store. Speaking is something we all do! And as Colin says, "speaking is selling!" And that's exactly why I am so excited to introduce you to Colin today.

"I definitely haven't always been confident in that..." At minute 1:42, hear Colin's background and how selling became his thing. I ask Colin if he had a fear of selling or if it came naturally to him.

"I got really clear on what I was telling myself..." At 6:24, we're talking all things mindset, how to start a conversation and what Colin has done to gain confidence. Colin is sharing his tips on how to get into the right mindset and build confidence PLUS he gives us a few sample questions to help us build up our confidence and get in the right mindset.

"You always have to ask twice to get an audience response..." At minute 14:40, Colin gives us examples of what he expects when he gets on stage and how he teaches the audience to always give a response. How can we sell our stuff without felling like we or our clients aren't crossing the line.

"I'm actually disrespecting their journey if they want to go deeper with me ..." At 24:24, we talk about what happens if you don't make an offer to your people after talking on stage and how selling is actually serving. Colin tells us the 3 elements to story telling and how to tell a story that helps your audience take on the belief that what you're selling is right for them.

If you want the template to download and create your own signature story head over to colinboyd.co/story and if you are looking to connect more with Colin, head over to his website, colinboyd.co and in his free Facebook group The Expert Edge or @colinboyd!

You might remember Colin's wife, Sarah, who was on my podcast on episode #265 talking about How To Raise Kids In An Entrepreneurial Family so be sure to check out that episode!

Welcome back to episode #304! Do you already have a team or are you thinking you don't need one yet? I know you're a go-getter, powerhouse female entrepreneur who can do "all the things," but truth be told, in the end time is money. I can confidently say there is not one business owner who can say they do not need a team. We ALL need at least one person on our team!

"I became obsessed with building my own team..." At minute 1:21, if you don't know who Theresa is, I'm letting her share her story and fill us in to how she got where she is now. Theresa gives us some tips on how to become a visionary if you are a natural integrator and some things she did to make sure she knows she is in the right roll in her business.

"You never hand out tasks, you hand out responsibilities..." At 9:15 I ask Theresa if it's possible for any company to run with one person and do it all on their own. She explains the 3 levels of entrepreneurship and tells us why we all need help sometimes! Plus, Theresa tells how us we can stay in our zone of genius by giving your team responsibilities.

"They hire for skills instead of characteristics..." At minute 15:09, Theresa tells us some of the biggest mistakes people make when hiring a new team member. We also dive into training a new team member, why your business needs to have systems in place and how Theresa creates a new process.

"Those are the first things that you hand off..." At 27:42 we talk about where someone should start if you are looking to hire your first team member.

If you are loving this conversation with Theresa, she has a free download for all of you to assess if you are ready for a new hire! Just go to teamuproadmap.com and you can find that assessment. You can also find her at theresaloe.com or livinghomegrown.com
