    I want to share with you a quick story….

    Almost 2 years ago, I kept getting asked by business owners time and time again, “How do you get so much done?” I would meet with women at a coffee shop and explain my Google calendar system, I would have women over to my home to share all of my productivity tips and quickly I realized there were so many business owners who needed to get more done, but wasn’t sure how to best maximize their time. Cue, online course! I quickly realized I needed to create a training that didn’t subject me to my time and that someone could do on their own. I knew there were more people that needed this training, and I hadn’t even begun to grow my following, so guess what I did? I reached out to someone else who had a following. We agreed to split the earnings 50/50 and we launched my first online course. Little did I know this would be the start of a great new beginning, and we brought in $11,000 our first launch.

Today, we're doing another Q&A session. The last one we did was really so good- in fact it was one of our most popular podcast episodes to date! I really love having these Q&A's! I love being able to jump right in and have you join us live and get some questions answered. We also have had some people submit their questions beforehand, just in case they can't make it live, so listen in, as we dive right in today, wrapping up our series for the month of July, which is all about working smarter, not harder.

 

Show highlights: 

“I've just got back from an event on Monday and Tuesday and one of the things I've noticed from going to Live Events- and also posting my Live Events, is...” From minute 1:33, Stacy shares a big difference that she's noticed between herself, as a visionary, and others, when it comes to working smarter, not harder, after coming home from Live Events. This is about seeing the bigger picture, rather than the tedious little ones that tend to overwhelm you.

“I want to start a podcast, but I don't know how to manage finding the time.” From minute 2:57, Stacy answers a question about how to find more time, in an already busy schedule. Here, Stacy explains about re-purposing. She takes just one piece of content and uses it all over the place!

“I'm thinking about using Facebook notes, rather than a separate blog- what do you, or anyone else in this group, think of that?” At minute 6:30, Jessica asks a question about saving time, using Facebook notes, rather than writing a separate blog. Stacy comes up with a number of different ideas here and explains about picking your niche and attracting the type of people that you want to come to you.

“What are the best methods for managing time spent with existing clients?” At minute 8:03, Stacy talks about the fine line between engaging with your clients and giving them your attention, and when they expect too much and begin crossing your boundaries. Here she explains how to remain in charge of your boundaries, in order for you to run your business and not have it running you.

“What do you do when you realise- okay, I don't have boundaries set and I've been letting them break them?” From minute 11:30, Stacy explains what you can do, right this second, if you realise that you haven't set any boundaries with your clients and things are out of control. She explains how you can set new levels of expectation.

“When you are trying to give away these bonuses and perks and and all of this...” From minute 14:37, Stacy explains how you can throw in perks and bonuses, and still make it scalable, without giving away your time.

“I have an email provider- well the email provider could, at any moment, go bankrupt, or anything and those emails are just gone.” From minute 15:52, Stacy talks about the types of unforeseen things that people just don't think about, with the things that they do not own, like email providers. So your eggs should never all be in one basket.

“Do you think having a Facebook Group versus just having a Fan Page is important? I'm afraid that it would take up too much of my time.” From minute 12.23, Stacy answers Natasha's question and explains some confusing bits of Facebook, relating to the personal and business aspects of your profile. Linking your Personal Profile to your Business Page and your Group, on Facebook, really saves you time. You definitely do need a Fan Page- if you don't, it means that you're not running Facebook Ads and you really should be doing that, because everybody's target market is on Facebook. Again, this relates to re-purposing.

“If you can properly tag your Friends, to whatever category they should be in, it would be really great to show entrepreneurs certain things, but I don't want my sister to have to watch, or my mother-in-law to have to watch.” From minute 19:39, Stacy talks about how to properly tag on Facebook, so that only the right people see the things that you post.

“In my Group, I might be doing something a little extra, or a little bonus, but the Group is about engagement and it's where we have our big challenges.” From minute 21:48, Stacy explains how she makes great use of her Facebook Group for her big challenges. She has one coming up in September and she points out the massive changes that you will see, in the Group, when the challenge happens. It goes to literally hundreds of posts per day!

“I really think that you need to be having all three of them- and that sounds so overwhelming, but, when you use a scheduling tool...” From minute 22:15, Stacy explains that by using a Scheduling Tool to create automated posts, you really can use a Fan Page, a Group and a Business Page on Facebook, without becoming overwhelmed. Stacy uses Meet Edgar.

“We've had Brand Ambassadors, so people that I'm coaching in my Profit Mastermind, my Profit Mastermind members have stepped up to the plate and have been the Brand Ambassador for the week.” From minute 23:01, Stacy explains how the members of her Profit Mastermind have really stepped up and become her Brand Ambassadors for the week. She's fully utilising these leaders and showing their capabilities out there, and it's also a test run for them, so this is another way that Stacy is working smarter, not harder.

“Where do I need to look to get a phone number on Google?” From minute 24:10, Stacy answers Amanda's question and explains that by going to Google Voice, you can get a free Google Phone Number in there. Stacy explains the benefits of having this option and also why she really loves having Google Voice.

“It's always, always in the preparation and not in the performance.” At minute 27:17, Stacy explains why you really need to focus on being prepared.

“ August is going to be all about Product Development.” From minute 27:55, Stacy talks about what's coming up in August. The focus will be on creating a better product for your customer.

“Heading into September, we are launching a challenge and we will be relaunching another round of Profit mastermind.” At minute 28:36, Stacy talks about what you can expect to be coming up, in September.

Today is an extra special day, because we are live, in my home, with eight other women! They are here for the Profit Mastermind Retreat. The Profit Mastermind is a ninety-day program that I launched back in May. Some of the women in it upgraded to a special retreat- and they're here, so I'm super excited! A few of them are going to pop in today, to say 'hello' and talk a bit about how they're working smarter, not harder. Listen in to find out about how they're doing that.

I'm really grateful to be having this retreat in my home. Remember though, that these people were already enrolled in a program and I've known them for a few months now. Neither my husband nor I would allow just anybody into our home.  What's really cool about having them come here is this sense of connection, on a different level to the online portion of the Mastermind. I almost regretted doing it here, because I had to get my house ready- it's a bit like having a party, so everything had to be a bit cleaner than normal. But, now that it's here, I'm really glad, because I did not have to travel out on Tuesday, and then back again on Friday- and I get to sleep in my own bed!

Even though we're just barely into the retreat, it was really great to start developing deeper relationships with everyone, through hearing all of them share their unique stories last night. This morning, we've just kicked off and I'm truly loving doing this from my house, so this might really be something that I will do again, in the future. Listen in as I introduce you to the ladies. “Well, I'm a big advocate in productivity.” From minute 13:10, Cheryl talks about what she's doing and how she's working smarter, not harder. Cheryl became aware of how many women, herself included, were trapped in a career that they didn't love any more, so she launched Elite Women In Business, to help them to get off the corporate treadmill, seize their passion and go out and create their own businesses. Cheryl had a real Bucket List Moment when she was invited by John Lee Dumas, to be a guest on EOFire Podcast. It is recorded two months in advance, so in those two months, she really wanted to leverage the exposure and get some long term benefits from that amazing opportunity. The funny thing is that the show aired on July the 4th, when Cheryl and her family were away on vacation, with no internet connection, so she only got to hear the show an almost week after it aired! She did, however, make sure, prior to leaving for her vacation, that she automated ads to run to the link to that podcast. She also had a blog post prepared to go out and she'd pre-scheduled all her Facebook posts, to give the links to the show notes. Do you feel guilty when you want to do something fun, when you know you should be back in the office, doing something else? Well, today we're talking about why you need to be thinking about growing your team and developing leaders within, even if you are a solo entrepreneur. We're still working through the Work Smarter And Not Harder series, for the month of July, so listen in to find out more.

I know that all of that can really be scary. You're possibly thinking that you're not yet ready to hire or to take that to the next level, so if you are new, no matter how big or small your business is, I guarantee that this topic will benefit everybody watching! There are probably a lot of things on your to-do list that you really could delegate, but the question is: “Who do you give this to?”. I really love the quote “ You can do anything, but you can't do everything”. I think this is something we should tell ourselves every single day. In one of my businesses, I have a large team of almost forty employees. I was, however, a solo entrepreneur for the first three years of my business and it's really important that you know that, because you don't just start with forty employees- that would be a disaster.  I really do remember how exhausted and overwhelmed I was, as a solopreneur, though! I remember so many things that I guilt-tripped myself into, thinking that if I stop working, then nobody is working on my business!

Then came a point where I realized that I would actually rather have more freedom, than the money aspect of my business. I was so burned out that I decided that I really wanted to buy back some of my time. I wanted to have someone working with me so that I could delegate to them, knowing that somebody was working on my business and my business was still moving forward, while I was out with my kids. That is really an incredible and irreplaceable feeling! Listen in to find out how you can get there, with your business.

“Sometimes... we have to possibly pay an employee or a contractor before we pay ourselves in our business.” From minute 4:22, Stacy talks about the priorities in your business and how to justify paying someone on your team, when you're not getting paid. This is where you really have to see the future and focus on your mindset and know that this is only temporary.

“It's no different than thinking you're investing in somebody like that then maybe investing in somebody that is your personal assistant.” From minute 5:46, Stacy explains that investing in assistant is actually an investment, similar to hiring a Facebook Ads Strategist, or a Copywriter when you're not yet making money in your business.

“If you don't have an assistant, you are the assistant.” At minute 6:04, Stacy gives you a good phrase, that she really wants you to be thinking about. You really could be working on much higher paying jobs.

“When you hire a coach, they're going to help you build strategies that help you make money.” At minute 6:53, Stacy reminds you of the real value in hiring a coach- and it's the same thing when you're talking about any of these types of people.

“Which tasks are you doing right now, in your business, that you are currently paying yourself way too little?” At minute 7:19, Stacy gives you something important to consider, about your business. These are the things that you really should not be doing in your business, that you could be outsourcing.

“Don't forget about personal things like house cleaning- whatever else is holding you back from doing work.” From minute 9:09, Stacy talks about more things that are taking up your time, that could be outsourced to someone else, for way less money than you would be earning if you were working on your business.

“Ask yourself: 'Is this moving my business forward, or is this something that I could outsource for a much cheaper rate than what I should be doing- I should be bringing in?'” At minute 10:19, Stacy gives you a really important question that you need to ask yourself when doing something that could possibly be done by someone else.

“The people that you bring in to help you, can be so much more than just a contractor or just an employee.” From minute 10:58, Stacy explains how the people that you bring in to help you really can be a part of your business and how you can help them to feel that way, by helping them to see the vision and the end results.

“If you're a control freak and you're thinking 'I could never take this off my plate.'” From minute 12:32, Stacy gives you some advice about how to give up control. There are some things that people on your team really can do better than you can.

“I do want to tell you though when it comes to money, you don't have to hire somebody for full time.” From minute 15:35, Stacy gives some ways to hire someone without having to spend too much money.

“You have to keep paying them, but they're not doing anything because you don't have your act together to give them opportunities or things to work on.” From minute 16:14, Stacy talks about why you really need to have systems in place and that it can be very inexpensive to hire someone if you hire them very part time.

“I want you to be thinking about a list of three.” From minute 18:05, Stacy gives you a list of three things that you can start working on immediately, today: 1)What should you be doing? 2) What should be deleted off of your to-do list? 3) What can you delegate?

“Your delegate list becomes this great area for you to go and say really 'here's a job description'.” From minute 19:52, Stacy explains how your delegate list can be used as a great job description, for the types of jobs you need to delegate when you're looking for somebody to help you.

“You want to make sure that you hire somebody, you really are hiring them knowing, okay I can afford this.” From minute 20:38, Stacy talks about hiring the right people, people who will be great in their departments.

In today’s episode, we are wrapping up the series on Facebook Messenger Marketing by talking about 5 things not to do on Messenger. Facebook Messenger has open rates as high as 90%, which is great by any standard but especially compared to email marketing.

 

We’ve already talked about what Facebook Messenger Bots are and some free ways to use the Facebook messenger bots, as well as how to scale what you are doing with some paid strategies. So today, we’re steering you around some of the pitfalls of Facebook Messenger.

 

  1. Don’t set up your first Messenger Bot and then not engage. You don’t just want to accumulate a bunch of names on your Messenger list, and then never send them anything or engage with them. The idea isn’t to have the biggest list, but the most engaged list.
  2. You don’t want your messages to feel like a Bot. Make sure people know how they can get engagement from you when the bot isn’t meeting their needs. You can’t do “set it and forget it” automation on this. You need to manage it.

 

  1. Don’t mess up the first sentence. Your first sentence needs to be intriguing enough to get someone to open it. My best opener has been. “Hey XXX, I know you mentioned you want to get updates on this..” My lowest open rate (80%) was “Hey XXX, just a friendly reminder that….”. Make sure you are intriguing enough for them to open the message.

 

  1. Don’t put someone on your list and bombard them with messages. There is a balance between too little and too much. 

 

  1. Don’t treat Messenger like email. It’s not email. Most people are looking at messenger on their phone. Keep it short and sweet! Emoji’s in the text help break the text up and are more desirable.

 

  1. BONUS - Don’t send them a promotional link and broadcast it to everyone. Get them to click below or comment below to get more information. Facebook needs to see that there has been engagement in the last 24 hours before you send them a link.

 

Facebook Messenger Marketing will work if you do it properly. So, don’t be afraid to get started and have real conversations with your audience.

While being an entrepreneur you can let your imagination run as wild as you want, but when it comes to launching…there’s no place for assumptions.
However, that’s the mistake 90% of the entrepreneurs make, which leads only to sheer disappointment, fatigue, and failure.
Stepping out of your comfort zone and cultivating growth mindset is crucial to the success of your launch (and your business). However, you cannot expect to hit your goals just by visualizing and meditating about it.
Today is Day 5 of the “Launched in 90 Days” Challenge, now so far we have talked about everything from your launch vision and mindset to finding your perfect person and launching your offer like a pro (by choosing one of the proven launch models).
Today I want you to take a step back from planning your launch and see what costly mistakes other entrepreneurs are making + how these mistakes are affecting their launches (in a bad way).

  1. UNREALISTIC SALES PROJECTIONS – Unrealistic Goals = Setting yourself up for failure. Launching your offer to a list of 100 and expecting to make $100K is wishful thinking that only leads you to an abyss of disappointment.I am in no way saying that it’s not possible to have a profitable launch with a small list, but it’s important to have enough quality leads to convert at a good percentage. 
  2. THE 6-FIGURE ILLUSION – The online 6-figure launch race is contagious and so many good and hard-working entrepreneurs fall prey to it even before they take off. You’ve got to learn to walk before you can run and then fly.To make 100K in 90-Days is not mission impossible but it shouldn’t be your only mission. You may need to have smaller launches to boost your Know, Like & Trust Factor and build up towards a mega-launch.

You can’t expect to be a know-it-all, do-it-all kind of person and have a lucrative launch.Get out of your head and go out there to really listen to your dream clients and their needs so buying your offer becomes a no-brainer when you share it with them.   4. Facebook Live – The easiest way, start with daily Facebook lives to build authority and then pitch your offer directly, boost your viewership through ads.

  2. What’s the urgency of your offer?
  3. How much time can you devote to this launch?
  4. What does your audience prefer based on their lifestyle, free-time, and personal choices?

The E-learning industry is expanding by the day. There’s no denying that. 
But only a handful of entrepreneurs launch and market their product, course or program the right way.
Now that’s shocking, isn’t it?
But why is that so?
Why create something only to let it collect dust on your digital shelf?
Why not shout at the top of your lungs telling the world that your course or program exists?
“Because it doesn’t solve a specific problem.” That’s why.
When your course or program (even if it’s just an idea for now) doesn’t present a unique solution to an existing problem, it does more damage to your time, energy and money than you can think of.
You put in so much hard work and tons of time to create something… in hopes that it will fly…only to realize later on nobody wants it.
And where does this all lead?
   Low self-esteem
   Self-doubts and Remorse
   No cash in the bank
DESPITE having a product, you feel ashamed to share it with your audience, and even if you share it, you don’t feel as confident as you should.
Why?
Because you know that it probably isn’t what your ideal clients truly need.
So today, we are going to get this piece of the puzzle right.  
 
It all starts with your perfect person. The ONE person who’s looking to get help from you.
You can’t go into course creation or launch mode without getting crystal clear about that ONE person. You need to know this person from the inside out – their likes, dislikes, what excites them the most and what keeps them up at night.
Unless you know who that person is and how you can help them, there’s no point in launching.
Note, that this person must be somewhere around you. You just need to talk to them specifically (instead of generalizing your message). 
 
DAY THREE ASSIGNMENT:
  1. What is the problem that your perfect person thinks they have? And, what do you think is the actual reason behind their problem? 
  2. Hypothetically, if you were to take away all of their pains and problems, what would their life look like an in a problem-free world? 
  3. Keeping in view your knowledge and expertise, what solution would you present to your perfect person that will ease their pain and solve their problem?

It just means that you are focusing on the RIGHT set of people (no matter how small or huge it may be), one who’s not there to get entertained, but to BUY from you as they need you right at this moment.

Although my signature program is called “The Profit Mastermind”, business is not all about profits, is it?
Well, I know that as responsible and impact-making entrepreneurs, we’re in business to make money so we can bring about a positive change in the world – all while living a deeply fulfilling life ourselves.
But restraining our thought and goal-setting process to just money is a grave injustice to our dreams, desires and God-gifted abilities to help others.

So when it comes to packaging up your ideas into one fine offer and putting it out in the world (a.k.a. launching), you shouldn’t keep your focus ONLY on SALES.

Because the more concerned you are about your numbers (instead of the overall impact you are making), the more those numbers will evade you…to the point that it almost becomes a never-ending episode of “hide & seek.”
When your sole motivation is your rising or declining numbers, you will act from a place of scarcity during your launch instead of a place of abundance, and that creates a no-win situation for you and your audience.

For a successful launch, you need to have the mindset of a leader. One that:

  • Radiates your true energy out in the world in a confident way
  • Knows that sales numbers have nothing to do with your value or worth
  • Enables you to share your very best with the world even when you don’t feel like it
  • Lets you claim your brilliance and encourages you to stay on track to make your mark in the world


Once you’re mentally prepared to slay your fears as they emerge, willing to look beyond numbers and gauge the real impact of your launch, and have a buddy by your side cheering on you as you move forward, sales numbers automatically fall into place.  
 
DAY TWO ASSIGNMENT:

  1. Take a moment and look deep inside of you. List down all the fears that are possibly holding you back from having a successful launch.  
  2. What will make you feel abundant during your launch? Apart from the sales numbers, set tangible goals for yourself and savor the moments when you achieve them (e.g. Increased list size, social proof, appreciation, engagement and activity, impact made, etc.)
  3. Launches don’t have to be an uphill battle. Who is the one person you want by your side during your launch to keep you accountable and celebrate your wins no matter how small they are?

Has this ever happened to you?
An idea sparked in your mind. Light-bulb moment. Goosebumps all over your body just by thinking of the impact it’s going to have. You fervently start working on the idea as it seems to be everything you’ve ever dreamed about. You do some basic research, create a plan, set goals and dates…you’re basically right on track to turn it into a living reality…and then it all dies.

 

The burst of flame. The motivation. The dream. All those rough outlines, plans and deadlines start to haunt you. Even when you force yourself to work, you can’t do it. You find yourself coming up with new excuses every time you even think about it. It’s like all of a sudden you’ve lost your interest in that “passion” project and it all turns into a forced task. So you just leave it…unfinished…

They go into the product/course creation or launch mode with full force…only to feel bored or get sidetracked after a little while. But if you’re serious about your online business (and the dreams associated with it) and are committed to making it work, then you can’t afford to fall prey to this cycle of gloom & doom, can you? And that brings me to Day 1 of the “Launched in 90 Days” challenge.

A launch without a vision is just a series of tasks that you HAVE to do no matter what. If you don’t have a driving force behind your launch, it can turn into a messy business experience…leaving you more frazzled than before.
With a clear vision in sight, even the toughest tasks get done like a breeze. Because now you are well aware of the importance of each milestone and the change it’s going to bring.

Stacy's guest, Bob Burg, is a best-selling author and a speaker. He has written a number of books on sales, marketing and influence and today he explains the importance of knowing this, as well as giving you a lot of other, really valuable advice. We are wrapping up from the live event we had last week! I have some lessons learned from my live event that I wanted to share with you. The event was great, but I can always improve, so we look at every possible way to make that happen each and every time.

 

One thing I’ve learned about myself is that I think I lose my voice, not because I am speaking, but because I am stressed. I have lost my voice 4 times this past year, and it’s almost always because I am under stress. I knew I had to see if I could control this better because this isn’t a normal way to function. So, let’s start there and I’ll share with you some of the takeaways from my most recent live event.

 

Episode Highlights:

“I wasn’t doing my normal water intake or taking my multi-vitamins, and I didn’t exercise”……….at minute 4.10 Stacy talks about the physical conditions surrounding her stressful times when she lost her voice and the things she realized when she looked back.

“We have our opinions, but I also made sure we did a survey”……..at minute 5, Stacy talks about how she has constantly surveyed her audience throughout her business, but it’s a little more personal when she surveyed her live event attendees.

“The event was profitable and most live events are not.”…….at minute 7.30 Stacy talks about how much her first event ended up costing her and the steps she took in year 2 to make sure she was profitable. Sticking to the budget this year helped her profitability this year.

“People are waiting to hand over their credit card.”…..at minute 9.0 Stacy talks about how you must craft a great offer for your audience. They want to buy from you and have you help them learn more and put into action what you just taught them. So always have a great offer for a follow-up product.

“I was able to pre-sell something to my audience.”…..at minute 9.20, Stacy talks about how pre-selling a product that wasn’t even launched yet, has helped her craft her next product.

“There’s no resting right now.”…….At minute 10.30, Stacy talks about how even though everyone told her to get some rest after her live event, she’s working on a new 5-day challenge that starts next week! She’s helping people plan, launch and sell out your first digital course.

“We can make more money, but we can’t make more time.”……at minute 12.21, Stacy talks about how you should look at doing a group coaching program even if you make tons of money doing one-on-one coaching. Stacy recorded this show in Mexico, while away on her first vacation in about five years. Initially, she thought that the vacation would be a waste of money, as she's been away to tons of conferences recently and she thought that the money could be better used in many other ways, both in her business and at home. She was also under the impression that she didn't really need a break at this time. Listen in and find out how Stacy came to realize that this vacation was really necessary for both herself and her husband.

 

Stacy points out that there is a big difference between going away to a conference, where you'll end up spending all day in over cooled conference rooms, and taking a real vacation with your partner.   • “Just because you don't need it, doesn't mean that he doesn't need it!” At minute 5.39, Stacy points out the necessity of taking your partner's needs into account, when deciding whether or not to take a break.
