We're talking about the 3 tips you need to finding your new business bestie! Stacy is talking about the ways you can start making connections with other people including your strategy, how you can reach out and the best ways to start that introduction.

“The quality of your business is directly related to the quality of connections…” At minute 2:11 Stacy gives a background to to the topic of networth and networking and how you can do it. It all starts with one person at a time and how you can find that one business bestie at a time. Stacy talks about ways to connect with more people whether it be from other people’s podcasts or other interviews you see and how to get people to ask you to do something for them like speaking at their events.

“What is the strategy behind your connection…” At 5:40 Stacy introduces the first step which is your strategy. What’s your game plan and desired end result?  Who do you want to connect with and why? Are you looking for collaborators, affiliates, podcast or live stream interviews, peers that could be in a mastermind, a mentor, potential clients? Having a plan is the foundation to connecting and finding the focus of your business at the moment.

“I’m not going to just build these list of connections in my head…” At minute 7:41 Stacy shares ways to stay organized and keep track of your connections. Separating your connections based on tiers, who you know will say yes or who you know has a super packed schedule. She talks about how it may be easier to see who you already know and find out who are the people they know, talk to, mastermind with, interview, etc.

“This is the one that people don’t do…” At 9:16 Stacy gets into step two, taking action. Stacy talks about a quote she heard saying ‘I like my paid friends better than my free friends.’ She talks about free groups versus paid ones and how they compare to each other. Stacy talks about getting out of your comfort zone and going deeper with making connections and relationships. She talks about having a strategy and a system in place to start those connections.

“You’re the Wisconsin girl…” At minute 14:09 Stacy introduces step three, finding a connection or something you have in common. She talks about relationships with mutual friends and how beneficial they can be to start building new connections and real relationships. Find out what they like, dislike, where they are from, what their passions are, etc. Stacy talks about how you can use those common connections in that introductory message. Remember, go deeper in your conversations!

Pretend like you’re dating this person…” At 17:40 Stacy brings up common etiquette when you first reach out or meet someone. She talks about things you could ask and the things you should stay away from until you have built that strong relationship. Depending on the relationship it varies on when it is the right time to ask for a favor. Stacy talks about the right way to start getting people to promote your stuff and it all starts with you doing it back!
